Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00 pm / 40+ hours per week

Requirements:
Reporting to the President, this position is responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives and developing strategies to optimize Foot Petals’ spending on new/existing products. Develop & execute implementation plans to ensure sourcing benefits are fully realized and all departmental target costs are met. This is a highly visible position which will drive value & significantly impact bottom-line profitability at Foot Petals.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Responsible for overall design/product execution for brand
• Develop comprehensive sourcing strategy, manage operations from strategic planning to tactical activities such as negotiating contracts, product costs and delivery schedules
• Develop product according to design requirements and communicate issues when the product development concept or merchandising strategy contains unrealistic expectations related to production cycle time and/or targeted unit costs.
• Seek opportunity to identify costs savings opportunities without impacting design aesthetics
• Evaluate developmental needs based on design trends
• Manage and track sample development and delivering for all new products
• Review prototypes with design, merchandising and technical team
• Communicate with Production Team on inventory levels

Job requirements:
• 1-3 years experience in fashion, accessory, or footwear industry
• Excellent negotiation skills in costing, allocation and global sourcing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be clear, concise and direct
• Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and web based applications
• Travel when necessary
